I have a Surface Pro 4 that has the same problem.
This week my 5 Ghz connection holds for long periods of time (hours) before dropping to 2.4 Ghz. Disabling and enabling the A6200 brings back the 5 Ghz band most of the time. I'm beginning to think it is an AT&T problem.

Hi donb8637,
If issue happens on both devices then it might be the router. You may try changing the channel or any wireless settings of your router and observe again.
