So before buying something else which I can use, I give it a try here.
Installed the latest driver (1.0.0.39), step by step as written on here.
When I bought it, and since then have the same constant issue withour any solution found anywhere. It keeps on dropping and disconnecting from Wifi (2.4 or 5G doesn't matter). Device manager still shows device connected and working, but it's dead. ONLY disconnect and reconnect to USB helps. But obviously this is not a solution to do daily multiple times ..
Anyone got a solution or just get a different one?

As I don't expect a response here, spend some time on searching.
So this wifi adapter is using mediatek MT7612U chipset. Clean everything (disconnect and remove netgear driver) and then install the below. So far (4 hours) it's working, and they should either use this driver or give any sort of support. Next one (this was my 3rd netgear stuff (1 router and 2 wifi adapter)) will be definately from another brand.

Hope it will help you or anyone who is searching for a solution.

I have the exact same issue.
I noticed it happens both randomly and on resume when my machine has been asleep.
