HI, I'm hoping that somebody can kindly help:
Netgear AC1750 and Tivo Roamio (no internet/trouble with router)
==================================================
TIVO CONNECTS TO MOCA BUT NOT ROUTER/INTERNET
=============================================
For no apparent reason, our TiVo Roamio Plus (which has been activly working on our home network, no longer connects to the internet. Under the Tivo setting, I get an IP address but no DNS assignment when trying to connect TiVo to the network. Tivo error messages says "trouble with router", "no internet connection", "TCP failure requires the following ports to be opened": TCP port 37, 80, 7288,
7287, 8080, 8081, and 5223.
Cox says 80 is blocked by them for security, but that's only for incomming and all other ports should be OK to open. So far I have tried talking to TiVo, Cox and NetGear support, but none can help.
MODEM: Motorola MB8600 Cable Modem
==================================
ROUTER: Netgear AC1750 Smart WiFi Router
========================================
MEDIA DEVICE: TiVo Roamio Plus
==============================
TIVO TO ROUTER CONNECTION: Ethernet Cable
=======================================
ISP TO TIVO/TUNER (with cablecard) CONNECTION: Coax/MOCA
====================================================
ISP INTERNET PROVIDER: Cox Cable
================================
TIVO IP ADDRESS: 169.254.176.43
===============================
TCP OUTGOING PORTS REPORTED AS BLOCKED:
37, 80, 7288, 7287, 8080, 8081, 5223
=========================================
CURRENT STATUS:
- NO PORTS ARE CLOSED IN ROUTER SETTINGS
- NO PORTS CLOSED IN PC FIREWALL SETTINGS
- YET ROUTER DOES NOT SHOW TIVO UNDER CONNECTED DEVICES
WHAT I HAVE DONE:
- SWITCHED OUT THE TUNER
- CHANGED ETHERNET CABLE ROUTER PORT
- DOUBLE CHECK ROUTER SETTING
WHAT I HAVEN'T DONE:
- RESET ROUTER
- RESET TIVO

SOLVED
Turned out to be a bad ethernet cable causing the issues.
