Recently I purchased the Netgear a7000 since I had to switch from ethernet to wireless and so far I am not pleased with the results.
I've noticed mutliple instances of slow downs, latency issues in games, etc. My internet speed test is inconsistent, occasionally it cracks 20 mbps, sometimes 5 mbps.
All the while my laptop, which i have in the same location for testing purposes, gets a solid 30 mbps.
I've tried moving it, adjusting where it's plugged in, and no joy. Any help would be appreciated.

What does the wifi come from?
2.4 GHz or 5 GHz?
Tried different wifi channels?
