WNDA3100v3 on Windows 10 Not Enabled

I recently upgraded my OS from Windows 7 to 10. My WNDA3100v3 wifi adapter worked perfectly with 7, but has had issues with 10. After not being able to connect, I uninstalled my driver and reinstalled the Netgear driver file: "WNDA3011v3_v1.0.0.10" but cannot connect to networks. The computer recognizes the wifi adapter in my usb drive, the wifi adapter has it's power light on, but I cannot enable it in Network Connections. When I try to do that, it says it is enabling, eventually says it is enabled, but when I return to Network Connections, it continues to say it is disabled.

Do you have any suggestions for next steps with troubleshooting?

Thanks!

Hi boourns,

Uninstall the driver of the adapter. Reinstall it using the standalone driver. Disable antivirus or firewall for the mean time while installing the adapter.

Hi JamesGL,

Thanks for the suggestion. It worked! At this point, can I re-activate my antivirus and firewall?
