Using install disk, install hangs at "detecting adapter." I have tried using different download versions of software from Netgear download site. I have also uninstalled previous installed versions, cleaned the registery, and did a computer restart inbetween trying different software revisions.
I have also tried to use window update. I get the message that it did not install sucessfully, as well as the error code "8007001F"
Have searched netgear archives and none of the "solutions" worked for me.
Short of trying "youtube," I am considering a hammer and a different brand.

Re: wnda3100v2
Is the USB device plugged in when you do this?
Some people find that they do not need the drivers off the CD. They just plug ion the USB adapter and let Windows get on with it. Windows 10 seems to have its own drivers that work.

Re: wnda3100v2
I have followed all instructions exactly.
I have also tried to use windows update by just plugging adapter in. I get the message the same message.
I have also tried installing it with antivirus turned off.
I have also tried installing it with "safe mode & networking."

Re: wnda3100v2
Have you looked into removing the old drivers?
These will be hidden in Windows.

There may be "greyed out" drivers in there that need removing.
