AC 1900 WiFi Range Extender EX7000 Upgrade
I spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support for internet connection problems using the EX7000 2.4 and 5GHz connections. Tech had to revert to prior firmware level. I still see the connections going in and out. Had to power off/on last night after working fine for hours watching a 4K UHD movie streaming from Netflix to my TV.
I only saw the Nighthawk X6S WIFI Mesh Extender, model EX8000 as a possible replacement. I need sufficient 802.11ac speeds especially for support of 4K UHD movie streaming and the range with my UBEE dual band modem/router combo, model DVW32CB isnt cutting it.
Any thoughts or other recommendations?

Re: AC 1900 WiFi Range Extender EX7000 Upgrade
Some ideas.
1. are you sure your UBEE DVW32CB isn't the culprit? I'd try disabling the wifi on the UBEE, hardwiring in the EX7000 and putting it in AP mode and seeing how you do. With it hardwired to the UBEE it elimates the potential that the UBEE wireless is causing the issue.
2. How far from your UBEE is the EX7000?
3. Could interference be causing the drops? I've had random equipment interfere with extenders and cause dropped connections.
4. when your connection to the EX7000 goes down, do you still have working internet on the UBEE?
Just some thoughts.

Re: AC 1900 WiFi Range Extender EX7000 Upgrade
The problem occurred with different equipment that I was using from my ISP. Although I dont plan on keeping the UBEE much longer. It is not what I wanted. I have a WAVE2 router and separate modem put in prior to the UBEE but because of an issue with the ASKEY WAVE2 router, the tech put the UBEE despite my objections. I now have to deal with the ISP on getting equipment that works properly and supports what I need in my wifi network. I have quite a few network devices, besides the main 4K UHD TV and I need better equipment than the UBEE. But for now at least it supports 802.11ac and I can login to it.
