AC1200 EX6120 doesn’t recognise wifi password
Plugged it in and set up using WPS so all lights green and WiFi.ext for 2and 5 appear in available WiFi list BUT neither will accept the network security key I’m definitely using for my WiFi.
Any suggestions please as to what is causing this.

Re: AC1200 EX6120 doesn’t recognise wifi password
Try factory resetting and re-running setup using the installation wizard and not wps. Reason why is devices makers code wps different and it can create issues.
so try the installation wizard.
What router are you connecting to?
Firmware on the extender?

Thanks for spot on reply - I’ve done exactly as you said and it works.
Why the supposedly simpler WPS method didn’t work and seems to allocate a randomly long password of its own just beats me.

Re: AC1200 EX6120 doesn’t recognise wifi password
its because the manufacturers all code stuff differently. Causes issues. Its why netgear includes the wizard.
If you mark it as solved, it'll help the next person with this issue.
And good work on getting it installed!
