AC1200 USB Wifi Adapter stopped working after overheating.
So I've had a Netgear AC1200 USB Dual Band Wifi Adapter for around 2 years (the short one). It was prone to overheating, but it always ended up working in the end.
Today, however, my wifi adapter just failed me while I was chatting on Discord. It was warm when I disconnected it, and whenever I tried to reconnect it, it wouldn't even connect to my PC.
Is the adapter just completely obsolete now? Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Re: AC1200 USB Wifi Adapter stopped working after overheating.
heat does tend to be the death of electronics.
If it doesn't work in that device, try a different usb port. Maybe the port itself went bad. Or try it in a different pc/laptop in case its a driver issue.
If those don't work, it might taken a dump.
