AC1200 WIFI range extender - any way to disable IGMP snooping and enable multicasting?

I am on satellite internet using a VIASAT RM5210 satellite modem, feeding into an apple airport and then a Netgear AC1200 wifi extender. My Macbook pro is running OSX10.10 Yosemite. The Brother MFC9330CDW works fine on the USB cable. It also works fine wirelessly until it goes to sleep. After that, it is unable to be woken from sleep by a print command and the dialog box says 'Printer not connected', although when it is asleep it is possible to navigate to it by its IP address and Ping it in the network utility, so it is still on the network. The only way to get it to print again wirelessly is to restart it and then it prints perfectly until it goes to sleep again. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Brother support today and we went through everything, updating the firmware and trying to enable IGMP snooping and disable multicasting in the AC1200 extender. However, it looks as if there is no functionality to do this in the Netgear exender. Support's conclusion was that these functions needed to be amended in the satellite modem. We tried to do this, but it was not possible to navigate to the satellite modem’s IP address by the network cable and Activ8me, my service provider, has now confirmed that NBN does not provide any interface to access this modem.

So, if it is IGMP snooping and multicasting which are causing these problems is there any way to access these functions in the Netgenie interface? It doesn't look like there is to me.

Thanks in advance.

Hello davebergie

I do not believe there are these options.
