Have you tried to factory reset the extender and go through the setup again?

Yes...I have actually done that twice. I tried moving it to different locations today. Right now it is in the same room as the router and is doing the same thing. It will not stay connected to the router.

Make sure the extender is on the latest firmware and try changing the wireless channel on the extender.
