AC1750

Hello, I have recently bought this extender hoping to get good wifi connection to my new gaming pc because the router is on the opposite side of the house. I wasnt getting a strong connection with the wifi usb I had so i decided to use the ethernet and it is running super fast no problems. The problem is while i have it hooked up via ethernet it is hard to get a wifi connection to my phone from the main router almost in the same room as the router. If I even get a connection to work on my phone it is very difficult to keep it. So my question is can i run the ethernet from the extender to my pc and still have wifi coming off the extender and if it is possible how do i fix it to work?

Re: AC1750

The EX6250 should be broadcasting wifi at the same time as allowing you to connect wired.

What firmware is on it?

It is a mesh device if you're on the newest firmware. Meaning it uses the same ssid as the router.

When you're having issues, have you checked if you're connected to the 2.4ghz or 5ghz?

You can also try changing what channels you're router is broadcasting on in case there's interference.

So it does put off a signal and I changed the name of the 2.4 to try to connect and it asks for a password but every time I put one in it says it’s the wrong password even on my man WiFi

Re: AC1750

What router are you connecting to?

I take it you set it up using wps?

If so, factory reset the extender and reinstall it using the installation assistant.
