Can anyone tell me what the router link LED means as it is sometimes green and sometimes red.

On wifi extenders, the router link led indicates the connection quality to the router.
There's a couple different "best connection" colors based on the model. Not sure what model you have. But its roughly this:
- Solid white/blue/green. Best connection.
- Solid amber. Good connection.
- Solid red. Poor connection.
- Off. No connection.

What model unit do you have? AC1900 is a wifi speed.
