Adding a switch to a Nighthawk AC2200 X6

I have a Nighthawk AC2200 X6 as an extender from my router and would like to connect a couple of ethernet devices to it.

Has anyone successfully connected a Netgear GS208 to that extender.

Have you tried?  What were the results?

Look on the label on the router, most likely your model number is R8000.  Please confirm?

Is your router configured in Access Point mode or something else?

I have not tried because it would mean a lot of configuration and I don't want to do that if there's no chance of success.

The label on the bottom reads Model EX7700 Nighthawk tri-band range extender X6 AC2200.

It is configured as an extender and that's how it's being used.

That is why I asked for a model number from the label.  The AC2200 designation does not identify a specific product.

Good luck!

The model of the switch does not matter. These are dumb devices.

It should work just fine. I have used a switch behind an access point with not trouble. After all, it is the router that handles the traffic allocation and IP addressing.

The second Ethernet port in the back is there for that purpose.
