Another metal building wifi connection
I have a metal building only about 50 feet from a back corner of my house. I have wifi in my house through the router from AT&T.
My shop is on a seperate meter from the house so they are not on the same power circuit.
In one other post it was mentioned that a coax cable could help to provide wifi to an out building. I do have two underground coax cables running to my shop. One I use for the TV and the other is a spare.
Is there something I can use to pick up the wifi signal in the house and get it to the inside of the shop via my spare coax cable?

Re: Another metal building wifi connection
Normally you'd use an outdoor ethernet cable. But there are some gadgets that will carry 100 mbits ethernet over coax. For instance here: https://www.amazon.com/Dualcomm-Ethernet-over-Adapters-DECA-100/dp/B009AGCLVG Soome more expensive ones claim gigabit support: https://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Adapter-Ethernet-2-Pack-MM1002/dp/B078HMDDVS
I haven't used these myself, so I'm not recommending these particular adapters. I'm just pointing you in the right direction.
