Any benefit of using tri band wifi extenders for dual band wifi router?
I currently have a fiber optic dual band router from ATT. Its coverage is ok so I added two Netgear range entenders and my coverage is better. I now see these tri band extenders and was wondering if I would gain anything by doing away with my current range extenders and replacing them with tri band extenders.
I believe that I have to have a tri band router to get the full benefit of tri band extenders but just wanted to verify with the community
Thanks,
Zachry

Re: Any benefit of using tri band wifi extenders for dual band wifi router?
The triband extenders are able to retain the wireless speed where the dual band extenders gave better range but may of lost some internet speed. Also the ex8000 and ex7500 are mesh which would make your network 1 ssid instead of multiple.
