Authentication Problem When Trying To Connect my WN2500RP. SetUp Good.
I'm connected to a New Zealand Spark's 'Technicolour TG582n' with my Netgear Range Extender WN2500RP set up to Netgears instructions. Everything went through fine, proper lights, -EXT is displayed. But then tried to connect a Nexus google phone, a Samsung phone and ipad mini etc. All devices show a strong pickup signal 2GEXT; however each device will not connect. "Authentication Problem" error message is all I get after putting in the password. Password same as the TG582n.
Did a factory reset on extender and went through procedure again. Same exact error messages as before.
I am absolutely new to this type of problem solving, very low understanding of technical jargon e.g SSID etc - i have to go search and try, realy try, to understand what I read. Hmm!
So please be kind in your jargon if you have a solution to my; - probably for most;, not a brain teaser but I'd be most grateful.

Re: Authentication Problem When Trying To Connect my WN2500RP. SetUp Good.
Hello johnnz
You may want to look into the TG582n settings to see if there is a place that will allow/block devices from connecting to it if so you may need to add the IP address of the extender to the allow list of the modem.
