Best way to configure home WiFi with 3 Range Extenders + Xirrus XR-620
What's the best way to configure my Netgear Router and 3 Netgear Range Extenders to share the same SSID and achieve smooth transition from room to room.
Can the Xirrus XR-620 share the same SSID without causing and issue?
Thanks.

Re: Best way to configure home WiFi with 3 Range Extenders + Xirrus XR-620
I forgot to mention that I would like to configure the range extenders using hard wire. My home is wired and I think I will get the fastest setup if I avoid the range extenders communicating with each other through WiFi.

Re: Best way to configure home WiFi with 3 Range Extenders + Xirrus XR-620
ouch.
The mesh extenders only function as mesh when ran in extender mode. In access point mode (hardwired), they don't function as mesh because they're their own AP and not part of the mesh. They won't be seamless in that mode.
And daisy chaining multiple extenders tends to results in instability.
Same with using a bunch of extenders.
I tend to tell anyone needing more than 1 extender, to move to an actual mesh system like netgear orbi. And go triband. I'm not a fan of the dual band setups.
But you can try to make it work.
If you want seamless, you'd want the extender option. The EX7700 and EX8000 will be fairly tolerant of it because of their dedicated backhaul. The EX7000 will have a 50% speed hit because its a dual band.
Try to star configure them not daisy chain.

Re: Best way to configure home WiFi with 3 Range Extenders + Xirrus XR-620
I setup the EX8000 as an Access Point and connected it to the router as hardwired.
Transitions between access points is not as smooth but I am getting much better speed.
I am still a bit confused if this setup is optimal.
Thanks for you help.

Find the default IP Address for your xirrus router, modem, and other devices. then configure.

Re: Best way to configure home WiFi with 3 Range Extenders + Xirrus XR-620
I am able to access all the devices and configure each device. I would like to know what parameters to use for optimal coverage and speed.

Optimal coverage takes testing.
there isn't a specific setting to change.
but you can try different locations to see what works for you best. I usually move my access points/extenders around a few times to check optimal placement
