Bought two AX8 Extender's. ? on how to set-up the 2nd AX8
When I add the 2nd extender via the app the 1st extender disconnects from my netgear home router network.
How do I connect the 2nd w/out disconnecting the 1st?

Re: Bought two AX8 Extender's. ? on how to set-up the 2nd AX8
Turn OFF the 1st extender while you set up the 2nd like you did with the 1st one. Once it's online, just turn ON the 1st extender.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Which AX8 extenders are we talking about? The EAX80?
AX8 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AX tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.
Look at the label on the device for the model number.
And what is the router in front of these extenders?

Re: Bought two AX8 Extender's. ? on how to set-up the 2nd AX8
Follow what @FURRYe38 recommends in shutting off the first extender that is setup. Then install the 2nd.
I'd also caution you to make sure to use a star configuration with using 2x extenders and not daisy chain.
Star: extender<=====router======>extender
Daisy: router------->extender------->extender
I usually don't advise using more than 1 extender because they can end up connected to each other when setup with the same ssid's. This can cause issues. If you can set them far enough apart that they only connect to the router and not to each other, it helps prevent that. If they're to close, you're better of returning them and switching to an actual mesh system like orbi or the MK nighthawk.

Are you planning on upgrading the router to mesh with the AX extenders?
If so, i'd return the extenders (if possible) and just switch from the start to a full mesh system.
If you're not planning on upgrading the router, the EX8000 will get you the same performance (maybe a little more because of its dedicated backhaul) than the EAX80.
(dang, just looked on amazon and the eax80 is actually cheaper.)

I wasn't planning to since the info on the EAX80 states it's backward compatible.

The EAX80 will work with it for sure. It is backwards compatible.
Just didn't know if you planned on upgrading the router to AX since both extenders will be.

Re: Bought two AX8 Extender's. ? on how to set-up the 2nd AX8
I wasn't referring to any specific on. You'd just said you had the AC3200 (R8000?) router which is a triband ac device.
You could always cheat a little if you didn't mind not using it fully mesh (for stability/load balancing) and turn off smart connect on the R8000. Then connect one of the EAX80's to one of the 5ghz and the other EAX80 to the other 5ghz band. That'd let you load balance the router/extenders a little and might help with stability/speeds.

Ok, did that. But when i go to the app and look at devices it says no devices connected. So how do I know that they are both working?

The app for what device? the router? the extender?
Did you set the extenders up in mesh mode? If so, its the devices (phone/tablet/etc) that chooses when to roam between the router and the extender. Or you can disable the mesh function and program them yourself.

Which ones?
iOS or Android app? (They seem to be going through a "pass the bug" phase at the moment.)
Which AC3200 router? R6300v? R7850? R8000?
All claim to have that wifi technology.
