Can 2 NightHawk X6 EX7700 connect to each other?

Hello

Hope you are doing well.

Could you please let me know if 2 NH X6 EX7700 can connect each other.

I have already one connected to my AP and it work perfectly.

However, I would need a second to cover my home enterely.

The place where the second should be install is far away from the AP but close to the first NH X6 EX7700.

Can the second extender connect to the first one so it will extend the range of the wifi properly?

Thanks for your help.

Regards

Philippe.

    Can you? yes

Might you need to do some playing to get it working properly? maybe

Reason why is the mesh extenders don't have any device "controlling/managing" them like the full mesh system like orbi. So when they're running in mesh they can end up connecting to each other and not back to the primary router.

Sometimes it works great if only 1 of the extenders can see the router but othertimes it causes issues. IF there's issues, it can be fixed by setting one of the extenders with a unique ssid and not running it in mesh mode.

I usually recommend people move to a full mesh system with controller like orbi if there needing more than 1 extender. It tends to be more stable and less of a headache in the long run.
