Am looking to purchase a home WiFi extender but want to configure to use WPA2 only and disable WEP and WPA. I cannot find documentation that shows how this configuration can be done. Is it possible and if so how can it be done.

You don't need to disabled wep/wpa, you just need to select wpa2 as your security setting.
