Can I add a second WN3000RP extender to my home network.

I've just acquired a second WN3000RP extender and I thought that it would be simple to add it to my current network. But no, it doesn't appear to be as simple as put as single one on the network. do I have to go in and rename the device to avoid a clash or what? I've got a Virgin Media 3.0 hub powering it.
