Can’t Connect Locally to Extender to Change Router
I bought a new router and need to connect my WN3000RP extender to the new network. I need to do it manually since Google WiFi doesn’t support WPS. I’ve reset the extender to factory and am trying to connect my iPad to the network NETGEAR_EXT locally. It comes up like it’s going to connect but then doesn’t stay connected. The screen says:
Captive.apple.com
NETGEAR_EXT
Login. Cancel
Nothing happens from there. There is no screen to enter a userid or password (I know I shouldn’t need one) and it does nothing after that. If I move from that screen, I revert to LTE or the new Google WiFi network I set up.
How can I get connected to change the extender to the new network?

Have you tried to use a different web browser?
