Can't access Wifi printer attached to a WN3000RP extender
Hi,
I've recently purchased the Netgear WN3000RP WiFi Range Extender, so I can improve the wireless reception on my home office.
I had hoped I could connect my Kodak WiFi printer (ESP 5210) to the extender and for it to be available to other computers connected to my main router (BT Home Hub 3).
I've found that if I connect wirelessly with my laptop directly to the extender I can ping the printer, but if I connect wirelessly to my router I can't ping it.
I'm assuming its a similar problem to the one discussed here:-

Their solution was to change the "Wireless Client Security Separation" setting, but this option isn't available. I presume this option is enabled by default on this product.
The printer, extender and router are all in the same ip range and using the same gateway. I've also tried a static ip on the printer.
Thanks,
Tim.

- jmizoguchiVirtuosoyou probably want to verify it with support at my.netgear.com
- turboboingAspirantI telephoned the support line first, and after several very long fustrating phone calls I decided I would try posting here.
In the meantime I've managed to work around the problem by moving my wifi printer downstairs and connecting it to the main router. Which meant I can now access the printer via the extender and the router.
I think if I purchased a professional/business class extender rather than a consumer model, it would give me more options to change to possible fix this problem.
Thanks,
