Can't add devices to Nighthawk X6 Wifi Mesh Extender
Hello
Please could someone tell me how to add devices to my Netgear Wifi Extender. Out of a possible 12 or so in the house, on 3 have connected after set-up. Name used is the same as my Wifi, but they just don;t appear on the list.
Thanks
E.

Re: Can't add devices to Nighthawk X6 Wifi Mesh Extender
Do you mean that devices are connecting to the router rather than the extender? In my experience, there is no logic to whether devices connect to the router or the extender. Or do you mean that there is a problem with devices connecting to the extender (authentication or IP configuration probelms according to my Android phone)? There seems to be a problem with the latest firmware (.210), which can be avoided by using the .206 firmware. See:

The EX7700 is a mesh extender. If you set it up using the mesh function it relies on the device's (phone/tablet/etc) own roaming protocol to tell it when to roam. The router and extender themselves don't switch devices between them.

Thanks both. I called Netgear Support and believe it or not, simply not ticking 'Enable One WiFi Name' did the trick. I don't know why, but that worked!
