Chromecast doesn’t connect to phone

My chromecast does not allow me to stream from any device when connected to the extender.

Works fine on the original router, but not when connected to the extender.

It is connected through the 2.4ghz band which is the network that was automatically selected since it is what my phone is connected to.

The chromecast is connected to the extender as visible through mywifiext, but i cannot stream anything to it.
