Client mode devices for Wifi to Ethernet > 150mbit
Hello,
As I'm looking for the right product to buy, sorry if I posted this on the wrong location.
I have an existing (non-netgear) 4g router which delivers internet at a speed of 150mbit over 5ghz wifi. The router also has a 2ghz wifi, a bit slower (60mbit) and a downright useless Ethernet port (5-10mbit).
I'm looking for a device to connect my wired network to the 5ghz wifi to be able to deliver the 150mbit to the entire network.
Currently I have successfully setup this by using a windows 10 laptop, bridged the wifi and the Ethernet, and enabled connection sharing. I'm looking for a device to replace the laptop in this setup.
I have looked at the wac505 and the EX7300, which both seems to be able to work in client mode. I'm a bit more interested in EX7300 but I want to be sure the higher price is worth it?
Ideally I'd like a device where I could turn off the "outgoing" wifi radio and only use it as a wifi client to connect my wired network.
do both wac505 and ex7300 support "client mode" at high speeds (> 150 mbit)? Are there any other devices I should be looking at?
