Went through instructions and installed extender by my router. Book said I could move extender anywhere in my house. Moved downstairs to my office where computer is. When I tried to connect to my extender I got message that it could not connect. Did what message said of unplugging modem and router and tried again. Same message no connection.
You want to place your extender basically half way between the devices you want to connect to it and the main router to get the best coverage so I would suggest moving it closer to the router until you find a good sweet spot.
