Connect extender to AP

I have one EX6100 hard wired to the main rounter in AP, I know I can't daisy chain wifi extenders. However, I would like to know if it is possible to connect a second extender, if the first is in wired AP mode?

Yes!  You can have as many APs connected via Ethernet as you want.

Re: Connect extender to AP

TheEther, thanks for the quick answer, but that was not my question.

I'm NOT trying to connect addional APs via etherent.

I want to extend the the APs wifi (ex6100 in AP mode, connected via ethernet), with a second ex6100 in extender mode (No eithernet just wifi)

[Router] --> EHTERNET -->[ex6100 in AP mode} -> ))) ->wifi -> ))) -> [ex6100 in extender mode]

The reason I am asking this is the Knowledge base  article linked below says

  • Range extenders are not designed to be daisy-chained. You can use multiple extenders but their main source of wireless connection must be the same. You cannot connect an extender to another extender's wireless network.

I want to know if that is still the case if the first extender is in AP mode.
