Connecting AC1900v2 with etherent

I have an AC1900v2 and want to connect it to an Ethernet port in my granny unit next door, so that the granny unit will get good wifi.The Ethernet cable runs from my house to the granny unit. Do I have the wrong piece of hardware to do this? If not, then how do I make the connection with this cable modem router?

Re: Connecting AC1900v2 with etherent

I guess I'm not sure exactly what you're trying.

1. ac1900v2 is a speed, not a model.

2. what's actually in the "granny" unit supplying wifi? You can run a cable up to 300ft from the router to another access point and be fine.

3. how far away is the granny unit?

4. what result are you getting or whats actually happening?

Current setup: CM2000-> RBKE963B-> Trendnet TEG-S380-> GS716T-> pi-hole
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80
1.4gig download/50mbps upload from Xfinity

Re: Connecting AC1900v2 with etherent

Thank you for your help! I was able to talk with a tech person at Netgear, who advised me that I had the wrong piece of equipment. I am hopeful that the new piece will work. Otherwise, I will come back here for further support!
