Connecting a Netgear extender WN2000RPT v2 using a laptop
I decided to move my extender to improve its performance and also reset the factory settings. I am now unable to reconnect the extender as I can't open the wizard to set it up. I now have a laptop and no PC and I'm wondering whether this is the problem - I have read somewhere online that I need DHCP which my laptop does not have. Is there anyway I can set up the extender using the laptop?

Can you see the wireless network the extender is putting out? if so connect to that with the default login on the sticker of the unit. Then you should be able to get back into the settings.
