Devices disconnecting when moving

When i move around the house between main wifi router and the nighthawk extender zones devices lose connection. Mobile phone WiFi calls drop off and laptop disconnect from the company VPN. Also I have problems controlling all SONOS speakers simultaneously , with sonos error message indicating that some speakers are connected to a wifi extender. Is it possible to set up the mesh extender so that I can move around the home wifi network seamlessly?
Setup was just using the simple connect with WPS option.

you didn't say what your setup was.

1. what router do you have and firmware on it? 

2. what extender and firmware is on it? 

3. How is the sonos system connected?

Running Fritz!OS 07.29

Extender netgear nighthawk x6 EX7700
Firmware v 1.0.0.222

Sonos is simply connected over wifi using the sonos wizard.

I haven't seen much positive things about the fritzbox devices. I don't have one to play with though. 

I have seen a couple people have issues with the .222 version of firmware for the EX7700. 

You could try downgrading a version or 2 on the ex7700 and see if it helps.
