How do I add a second extender without connecting to my previously extenders?

I usually advise people who need more than 1 extender to move to a ful mesh system like orbi.
You can add 2nd extenders but you can run into the issue you're having with the 2nd extender connecting ot the first.
To start off with, to get it setup, just shut off the extender already setup. then once its setup you can move it.
If you run into issues after setup with it connecting to the extender and not the router, then you might need to give one of the extenders their own ssid.
