EX2700 Extremely slow after firmware update and factory reset
Today I updated my wifi extender to the latest firmware. I did the factory reset as recommended. Now I'm getting extremely slow speeds with it. Earlier today I was getting download speeds around 3.5 Mbps. Now, after the firmware update I'm getting something like 0.5 Mbps. This is extremely frustrating considering my main router gets speeds around 20 Mbps via wifi.

Re: EX2700 Extremely slow after firmware update and factory reset
Hi @wesbeltz,
Welcome to the community!
1. Please indicate the exact firmware version of the device.
2. Does the issue persist on all the devices that connect to the extender?
3. What is the status of the extender LED's?
4. Is the extender getting a good signal from the router where it's located?
Regards,
Dexter

Re: EX2700 Extremely slow after firmware update and factory reset
Firmware version: 1.0.1.52
It's slow for all connected devices.
The extender's LEDs are all green and indicate a device is connected.
The extender is getting a good signal from the router. I checked by moving a wifi connected device right next to the extender and running a speed test on the router's own network.

Re: EX2700 Extremely slow after firmware update and factory reset
Can you try connecting something to the EX2700's ethernet port, and test the speed there using speedtest.net?

Re: EX2700 Extremely slow after firmware update and factory reset
When I plug my laptop into the ethernet port and goto speedtest.net and try to run the test, it says Latency Test Error in big red letters. Other websites load up fine while connected to ethernet.

Usually that means one of their servers has gone down. Can you try the test again?

Re: EX2700 Extremely slow after firmware update and factory reset
Okay, I finally got the speed test. With it plugged into the extender via ethernet the download is about 1.5 Mbps. Better than 0.5, but still completely dissatisfactory.

Re: EX2700 Extremely slow after firmware update and factory reset
Also, I just tried moving the extender to an outlet that was much closer to the router, and it got the same dismal speed of 0.5 Mbps. I'm beginning to think I just got a dud, or the thing is in the process of dying.
