EX2700 no internet through R8000

EX2700 connects to my router - Netgear Nighthawk X6 R8000 - but does not have internet access. The lights on the extender are all green - Power, WPS, Connected, Device (with phone or laptop connected via the extender WiFi). I have tried reset with no change in results. The router has the latest firmware. I can't update the extender firmware since it requires internet access (evidently). All three channels on the router work fine with all of my devices. Thoughts?

To be clear - internet access is fine through the R8000 router across all three channels. The problem is limited to the EX2700 _EXT channel.
