EX2700 won't connect to devices any longer
EX2700 bought in April and worked fine. Hasn't been used for about 5 weeks and now it won't connect up to any devices - devices say that they can't get the IP address of the EX2700, but I checked and it is in the router (Virgin Hub 3). The EX2700 has been reset to factory settings and then reconfigured to the Virgin WPS router. Would be very grateful for any ideas. Thanks.

Re: EX2700 won't connect to devices any longer
Factory reset the extender and re-run setup. But don't use WPS. Run the setup assistant. Virgin routers seem to never connect to extenders properly when ran using wps.

Re: EX2700 won't connect to devices any longer
Thanks for replying and I have done what you recommended, and it doesn't work. I even gave it a new name. It connects to the Hub, and devices find the network, but devices can't locate an IP address even though it is there in Connected Devices in the Hub. Guess the thing must be faulty and I'll have to buy another one.
Thanks again,

Solution to this problem! Re: EX2700 won't connect to devices any longer
Through trial and error, I have found the solution to this. If you need to reconnect this model (might work for other EX models) to a Virgin Hub 3 and keep getting "cannot find IP address" or similar message, this is because it's previous IP address is still registered on the router, and blocks a new connection.
The following process must be done before following the instructions in the manual:
You need to go into your router setting page to check.
1. Enter your router's address into a browser (usually something like 192.xxx.x.x) and log in. If your EX2700 is listed in Devices, it needs to be deleted.
2, Do this by factory resetting your EX2700. Then turn it off.
3. Now Reboot your router using the Reboot button on the settings page. When rebooted your old EX2700 setting will no longer be there.
4. Plug in/switch on the EX2700, then follow the instructions in the manual. (For some reason, I didn't have to do this as it connected up automatically - hours of trial and error in a few lines.)
Hope this helps!
