I’ve just received an email, not sure if a scam, stating security issues log in and download new firmware
Do we have issues an is it legitimate

Re: EX3700 Security issue, netgear update

Very vague posting.

A random email but you dn't include a screen snip. About potentially the firmware having issues.

I'd start by checking what firmware you're on and comparing it to the offical firmware version. it can be found here

https://www.netgear.com/support/product/EX3700.aspx

Current setup: CM2000-> RBKE963B-> Trendnet TEG-S380-> GS716T-> pi-hole
also in AP setup: RAXE500->EAX80
1.4gig download/50mbps upload from Xfinity

Re: EX3700 Security issue, netgear update

This is what the recent Netgear vulnerability information mass ailing was about:

Your EX3700 is affected - however, like all extenders it does not have a Remote Access feature exposing it to the wild Internet.

There is a nice featured post here in the top of the comunity, too.
