EX6100v2 blinking green light of death; tFTP firmware upgrade didn't help
EX6100v2. The Netgear-supplied firmware upgrade (via Netgear's internal admin web panel) somehow didn't complete, and after that, powering the unit on (with and without a factory reset beforehand) gi...

Final followup. Christian connected me with Level 2 support (Level 1 support was...well, we'll just say that Level -1 might be more appropriate). They requested I do the firmware download using a different tftp client, which I did (command line tftp from Linux). No luck - the power light stayed blinking green ('storing firmware') for an hour after the firmware download was complete, until I gave up and rebooted. Then it went immediately back to solid amber (stuck in boot).
Support arranged a swap of the unit for a working one and I will be sending the dead one back.

So you're saying:
- You get a solid amber power light when you boot and/or factory reset - nothing else?
- The tftp firmware upgrade appears to work, but you just get a blinking green power light when it's done - nothing else?
- If you reboot, you're back to a solid amber light?
What does the blinking green power light mean, I wonder? Because the manual doesn't mention that as a possibility.

Yes to all.
- Solid orange/amber light at boot.
- tftp download of new firmware appears to go fine, but never "takes" (power light blinks green forever)
- on reboot after firmware download, back to solid orange/amber power light
Have done multiple 30-30-30 reboot/reset cycles.
Netgear support was useless - didn't even understand that to do the tftp download I had to have already connected to the ethernet port. Basically just reading a script, but with language issues thrown in the mix to make it even more frustrating.
I'm about to just throw the unit out and tell my clients to not buy Netgear any more.

Following up. Netgear support suggested "sometimes Mac tftp client doesn't work right"... That doesn't make sense to me (tftp is a trivial protocol, hence the "t" in its name), but just for completeness I will try a linux command-line tftp client and report back.
