EX6100v2 in extender mode drops connection with router after 1 hour
Hello Community,
The device: Model: EX6100v2 Firmware: V1.0.1.90
The connection:
- Operation mode: Extender
- Connection type: Tried extending in 2.4 GHz, 5GHz, and Fastlane, same results. Have tried using the same SSID name, different names, but same result ALWAYS.
- Distance between router and extender: 2 m
- Power output: 100%
The network:
- Router: ZXHN F660E (ZTE F660 ). Same problem happened with another router, so it is definitely not the router.
- Network: 2.4 GHz, Channel 4
- Security: Tried different alternatives: WPA-PSK TKIP+WPA2-PSK AES
The problem:
Extension works fine for over an 1 hour, sometimes an hour and a half, after which devices connected start dropping connection. Meanwhile, devices connected to the router work flawless. Therefore, I am sure it is a connectivity issue between the extender and the router, but cannot identify what is the problem. I tried mobiles, tablets, computers running Windows, iOS and Android, and all experience the same problem. I have kept a computer running a ping to google. Under normal circunstancies, the package drop rate is less than 1% , but in this case, after 1 hour the dropping rate jumps to 30-40% forcing devices to disconnect.
Any advice will be highly appreciated. I am sure there is a misconfiguration somewhere, but I cant really pinpoint the problem cause.
Please don't reply with basic stuff, from what you see, I have tried everything.
THANKS!!!
