EX6120 Device Light not lit up.

Hey,

My AC1200 Dual Band WiFi Range Extender (Model EX6120)'s device light does not appear to be on at all. It's been doing this for a few weeks now, and I've never had this problem.

I've unplugged the extender, changed the router cable, changed the extender location to a different plug in my room and of course, finally I've factory resetted the thing. - To which, none have come to fruition or have solved the problem. Not sure what's causing this, but if anyone of you have a clue and have a solution: Please comment!

Thank you.

The device light led comes on when you have something connecting to the extender.

did you connect a phone/tablet/computer to it ?

I've connected my computer to it; always been like that. Dunno why it's acting up.

        connected to wifi?

        Hardwired in?

Does it show connected if you log into the status page on the router?

While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge. This place is for General WiFi Routers (Non-Nighthawk and Non-Orbi). The EX6120 is a wifi extender

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

WiFi Range Extenders & Nighthawk Mesh - NETGEAR Communities

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
