The extender connected to a router netgear AC1200 -----Which is a speed, not a model number. which is fi,st connected to a modem/router Sagemcom FAST4350-----another router on the network. Probably the issue right there. is an ADSL/VDSL. The extender is setup in wireless extender mode. Does that help? Thanks for your help, would really like to connect more than one connection.
Running 2 routers on a network leads to all kinds of issues. its called a double nat and could be the root cause of your issues.
The 2 easiest fixes are to either place the Sagemcom in passthrough/modem only mode or to leave it running routing and to place the Netgear router in AP (access point) mode. That leaves only 1 router doing all the router and hdcp configuration.
