My extender have been working fine since I installed. Power outlet went down and when it came back it is not connecting to the router. I tried several times the smart set up, factory reset, changed computers, Ethernet cable connected to expander and router and nothing turns the router light on. The only way to make it work is setting as EXTENDER. I had set up as ACCESS POINT before and per instructions.
What else should I try? Can I use it with Expander per picture attached?
What you potentially can try doing is reloading the firmware. A factory reset only removes settings. If something was corrupted when the power outlet went out, a firmware re-load can potentially fix it. Not saying it will but its worth a chance.
Power surges are great at wrecking electronics. fyi.
