I have an ex6200 running in AP mode connecting with a R8000(nighthawk). Before I updated it to the firmware version v1.0.3.68_1.1.104, it had worked very well. I means it was steady and i was able to connect to it with the maximum speed of about 867Mbps in 5Ghz ac mode and close to 300Mbps in 2.4Ghz 802.n mode. However, when I updated it to the latest version today, I can't connect to it with the maximum speed any more. Instead, the maximum connection speed is alway 54Mbps or less. Although I have reset it and reconfigured it many times, the issue is always existing.
Anybody can help me out?

OK, well it may be worthwhile trying the previous firmware version again.

Have you tried different wireless encryption methods, excluding WEP / TKIP? If you temporarily disable encryption do you still connect at a lower rate?

Re: EX6200 connection issues with the firmware version V1.0.3.68_1.1.104
When you say that you reset the extender, do you mean a factory reset? If not then that may be worth a try. Otherwise, you could try reverting to your previous version of firmware, you simply upload it manually and ignore any warnings that it is older than the current firmware.

Thanks for the update, I’m not aware of any other similar issues with the new firmware, but I will bear this in mind.

Re: EX6200 connection issues with the firmware version V1.0.3.68_1.1.104
I've experienced many issues with this upgrade:
- no more connection with hp photosmart printer
- many problems in connection with chromecast
- connection stability worst than before.
I downgraded and now all works fine.

Re: EX6200 connection issues with the firmware version V1.0.3.68_1.1.104
Also lost connectivity immediately after upgrading. Was working fine on last fimware with 2 EX6200's connected to Linksys WRT1900AC router. After upgrade EX could not see my 5Ghz network, no matter how I changed security or channels.
Rolled back to last firmware and voila! connected instantly at 867Mbs...

Re: EX6200 connection issues with the firmware version V1.0.3.68_1.1.104
I should add that I could access the new GUI connected directly and it all worked, except for the 5ghz band that was showing no connection and 0Mbs.

Re: EX6200 connection issues with the firmware version V1.0.3.68_1.1.104
Hi All,
I too am having connection issues with the new 1.0.3.68 firmware.
My setup is as follows…
Netgear EX6200 Repeater/Access Point.
I am running it as an access point and WAS using 1.0.1.60 firmware.
Dual SSID’s running – 2.4ghz & 5ghz.
Using WPA2 – AES
Connected to the access point are
1 x Windows Phone
3 x Ipads
1 x Iphone
1 x WIFI Printer
1 x Chromecast
Running perfectly, all connect fine and performance is as expected.
Then I upgrade to firmware 1.0.3.68 and WITHOUT changing a thing, around half of my devices wont connect now. This includes the chromecast, the printer and the windows phone and 1 x iPad.
All devices that have failed to connect are using the 2.4ghz band.
To trouble shoot this I have done the following…
Factory reset the EX6200 unit and re-setup.
Cleared / Forgotten the connection on each device and then tried to connect again.
Removed security temporarily from the SSID, so it’s an open network (this works and all devices now connect again without security but obviously that’s not a good setup).
Changed the security to TKIP (again this works and all devices now connect again but due to the performance limitations I DO NOT want to keep running using TKIP).
So basically it is an issue with WPA2 – AES security authentication and only seems to affect the 2.4ghz band.
Then lastly WITHOUT changing a thing, I reverted back to 1.0.1.60 and all devices magically started to connect again without issue using WPA2 – AES.
I hope this can be fixed soon, the interface improvements are great for the new firmware but the additional bugs are not.
Thanks.

Re: EX6200 connection issues with the firmware version V1.0.3.68_1.1.104
Here is the download link:
http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/EX6200/EX6200-V1.0.1.60_1.1.98_FW.zip.
And then, you need to login the web admin page to upload it and ignore the fireware version alert, which just likes the upgrading.

Re: EX6200 connection issues with the firmware version V1.0.3.68_1.1.104
Same issue. With the V1.0.3.68_1.1.104 firmware, I couldn't connect with a laptop on 2.4 (though I could connect with my phone, a Galaxy S4, on 2.4).
Revert the firmware to EX6200-V1.0.1.60_1.1.98, and everything connects fine. I also find the older firmware most robust!
