Re: EX6200 will not stay connected to Dell desk top computer
what router do you have it connected to?
What firmware is on the extender?
Do you have the computer hardwired in or wireless?
have you tried setting a static ip address for the computer in your router?

Re: EX6200 will not stay connected to Dell desk top computer
The router is spectrum equipment. I am about 50 yards from the router.
I have it hardwared to my computer.
I am using the extender just as it came out of the box.

If the spectrum router is whats handline dhcp lease times, it could be timing out. Try setting the computer with a static ip address in the spectrum router.

You'd need to contact spectrum for help with their router

Re: EX6200 will not stay connected to Dell desk top computer
I contacted Spectrum. They said that they only provide static IP addresses for business customers.
I guess I am stuck with the promblem. It is not too bad. When it disconnects I turn off the Wifi extender and turn it back on. It usually reconnects in about 3 minutes.

Re: EX6200 will not stay connected to Dell desk top computer
there's internal ip static addresses (computers, phones, tablets, etc) and external. Spectrum is correct in that for their external addresses.
Internal are set by the router.
what actual spectrum router is it.

Re: EX6200 will not stay connected to Dell desk top computer
Because spectrum likes to lock there stuff down, (even manuals) here's what I could find for assigning static ip addresses with that router.
