EX7000 AC1900
On the Netgear extender the 2ghz lights up but the 5ghz does not. However, my laptop allows me to connect to the 5ghEXT. Am I actually connected to my routers 5ghz network even though the WiFi extender 5ghz light does not indicate connection?

The 5ghz link light is the connection from router----extender.
Its not from extender-----device (phone/tablet)
Basically it means the extender isn't connected back to the router on the 5ghz channel.
