EX7000
Please Help. I just bought a new Motorola modem (docsis3.1, no wireless) and can't seem to get it to connect with my Nighthawk. I know the Netgear is technically an extender and was wondering if that's why I can't get it to work. The Nighthawk does have a WAN port, just 5 regular ports. The genie keeps asking for the "network name" but the modem does have one. I guess my question is, can this extender work as a router for modem that doesn't support wireless connections?

Re: EX7000
the EX7000 has no routing functions. Its an extender or an access point. There isn't any integrated router functions.
What Motorola modem are you connecting it to? If it doesn't have an integrated router, then you do need a router to connect to the sytem.
