EX7700 - Ethernet Backhaul
I have a Nighthawk R7000 router in my basement. I'd like to add a mesh wifi range extender (EX7700) to improve wifi signal upstairs and keep one SSID. I have network runs from the basement to each room upstairs. Is it possible to have an ethernet backhaul (R7000 > EX7700) while keeping the same network name? Similar to how the Orbi has ethernet backhaul. The only thing I've found about connecting via ethernet is to use it as an access point instead of mesh.
Thanks

Mesh is about the wifi backhaul. If you use ethernet backhaul then you are using it as a wired AP. But you can still set the network name / passphrase to match the main router.
