EX7700 It won’t accept the default password in order to go into my extender settings

I have connected my extender through WPS because I was having trouble through the app since my nighthawk would show up on my wifi settings. The next step on the app is to enter the admin credentials but it won’t accept the default password. What can I do?

    Try hardwiring into the extender for setup. Tends to go faster and smoother. 

    If it was setup prior, it might have a different pasword. Try a factory reset. Push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on. 

    Default password: password  

    all lower case
