EX7700 unable to update firmware

My EX7700 has flashing power and LED lights following an attempt to update the firmware via the app. I thought this was a corrupt firmware issue and have been following the steps set out here to resolve :https://kb.netgear.com/000064624/How-do-I-upload-firmware-to-my-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-on-Apple-macOS

I'm unable to complete this process as my computer does not recognise that there is an ethernet cable plugged in. I have tried this on two different computers using both direct ethernet connection and a USB-ethernet adapter and in neither case is an ethernet connection recognised.

Does this mean that it is a hardware rather than firmware issue? Has anyone come across a similar issue or a solution to it?

Thanks!

So a 15 second factory reset doesn't print the EX to semi ready state?

Does the WiFi EXT SSID not appear on any device?

Remember what FW version was loaded on it?

    Might try NMRPFlash:

Last resort you might try is a 30-30-30 reset and see if this might bring the EX back into a semi ready state...not sure if this process would work on a extender.

Thanks for replying so quickly. The extender is not responding to any attempts to reset it (whether 15 or 30 seconds, including the 30-30-30 method). The SSID does not appear on any device. The firmware version I have downloaded is EX7700-V1.0.0.226.

Thanks for the suggestion on the NMRPFlash. Looking at the instructions for executing, I think it will come against the same problem of the ethernet connection to the extender not being recognised?
