EX7700

I have tried to update my EX7700 through the app, but asking for my Admin password. To get my admin password I have to login thru the EX7700. NETGEAR_EXT cannot be found. Reset everything, download app try again and get same. Cant use app without password, cant login to extender with out app could anyone offer a solution other than put it in the waste bin and buy a brand that actually works?

If you are trying to update the firmware then you might want to think again:
You can log in to the extender using its ip address or mywifiext.local on a computer (but you will need the admin password).
The other option is a factory reset (and then remember the new password).

Thanks, I was going to update but decided against it now...
I will try the reset, it looks like my only option to be able to use the app.
